2. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways, including:

• Name and contact information (email, phone)
• Birth information (date, time, place) for astrology services — sensitive personal data used only to generate your kundli and related readings
• Payment information (handled securely — we never see or store full card numbers; see Section 3)
• Account and usage data (chat history with Saanvi AI, saved kundlis, booking/order history)
• Analytics/cookie data, only if you accept our cookie banner — see Section 3

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use only strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in. If enabled, we also use Google Analytics to understand site usage — this only runs if you accept our cookie banner, and you can decline it at any time. Declining does not affect your ability to use the site.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide consultation and product services
• To contact you via WhatsApp for booking confirmations
• To improve our website and services
• To send promotional materials (with consent, which you can withdraw at any time — see Section 8)

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data (saved kundlis, chat history, profile details) within 30 days, except where we're required to retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Children's Data

Creating an Orbs Astro account requires you to be 18 or older. You may generate a kundli or reading for a family member of any age (e.g. a child's birth chart) as part of using the service, but we do not knowingly collect account or contact information directly from anyone under 18.

7. Data Security & Breach Notification

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. In the event of a personal data breach that's likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.

8. Your Rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it's being processed
• Correct, complete, or update your personal data
• Erase your personal data (subject to Section 5's legal-retention exceptions)
• Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it — this doesn't affect processing done before withdrawal
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
• Register a grievance and expect a response — see Section 9

10. Cross-Border Data Transfer

Some of our service providers (including our database host, AI providers used for Saanvi's chatbot responses, and our hosting platform) may process data on servers located outside India. We only work with providers that maintain appropriate security safeguards, consistent with the DPDP Act.
